STAR WARS AND KOMBUCHA

Hiya!

Happy Halloween! I hope you all had a great week! Here are some things I'm into this week. Let me know what you think and how your week went. 

1.  I made caramel apples this week! Yes! I never made them before. At first I was a little intimidated by the whole candy thermometer thing. I actually had to buy one but it was fun and easy. I think they turned out pretty great. They were way better than the ones you buy in the store but everything is better homemade isn't it?

2. Can we talk about the Star Wars themed costumes in my family this year? How awesome! I think Reed would have posed in his costume all day! Brig totally nailed the Rey look right down to the amazing hair style. My sage father playing Obi-Wan Kenobi was perfect. It was a super fun Halloween party. Great food and great fun. Thank you family!

3. I have been hearing about kombucha for a while now. How delicious it is and all the lovely health benefits. Well today I finally tried it. I am going to put it in the category of — I will finish it but I won't buy it again (and by that I mean Chris is finishing it). Also I forgot it was carbonated so I shook it up before I drank it. Please don't do this unless you don't mind spilling drinks all over the place and in that case shake it baby. 

4. I am working hard on a new doodle set that I hope to be done soon because it is Christmas themed. So stay tuned for an update.

1. Excellent article about the history of the ampersand. If you are into that sort of thing. I totally am. 

2. Right now I am reading: A portrait of the Artist as a Young Man by James Joyce I am enjoying it very much so far. I am on an Irish trend at the moment. The last book I read was Angela's Ashes: A Memoir by Frank McCourt which was so amazing I want to read his second book 'Tis.

3. This panda tumbling video is so ridiculously cute. Enjoy!

I hope you all had a great week! Here are some things I'm into this week. Let me know what you think and how your week went. 

1. This time I sent Reed, Captain Phasma's Helmet and the phrase "On my Command..." How amazing is this? I LOVE IT! I hope he enjoys doing these as much as I do. 

2. The Drawfee Channel makes me laugh. Please check it out. 

3. You can now subscribe to my blog and get all the news, updates and discounts. If you are on a tablet or a computer you should see a box to the right of this post. If you are on your phone you should see a pop up box. I hope you decide to do it. So far I have 5 subscribers, 2 of which are me. It's an exclusive club. lol!

4. I have been spending a lot of time learning about marketing, a topic I know pretty much nothing about. I am trying to implement all that I have learned. I assume it will take some time to notice anything different. So I will just keep plugging away. 

5. If you like cat videos I am pretty sure you will like this one. I am not exactly sure why this is entertaining. It just is.

1. Reed sent me the below picture. I am a bit afraid to respond. He told me he likes the dark side because they have more power. I am on the light side. What if this is the exact moment that our relationship takes a pivotal shift and doesn't recover. What if this tears our whole family apart? What should I do?

2. Hello Autumn even though it doesn't feel like autumn, it is 80 degrees. 

3. Very interesting article. Would love to hear your thoughts. 

4. For all my type loving peeps out there. This video will have an impact.

SOME STUFF I'M INTO THIS WEEK 3

I hope you all had a great week! Mine was fantastic! Here are some things I'm into this week. Let me know what you think and how your week went. 

1. I have been wanting to do a collaborative art project with Reed for a long time, but I was waiting for the right moment. Last week I sent him a drawing of Boba Fett's helmet (He loves Star Wars) and the words "The Sarlacc pit is..." and asked him to finish it and mail it back to me. I was so excited thinking about what he was going to do and he did not disappoint. What I received in the mail was pure magic! He even decorated the envelope with lightsabers. Stay tuned for next week's character. 

2. Chris: The girlfriend of my friend at work found out there are puppies available for the breed of dog she wants. 

Me: What breed?

Chris: Bohemian Bavarian Witch Dog

Me: hahahaha!

Chris: It's a large breed so he needs a hatch back car.

I just started reading Angela's Ashes. I am really enjoying his writing style but this book is so sad. 

If you love baking, this is the website for you. I have made a few of Smitten Kitchen's recipes and they are fantastic. 

I think Holly Exley is such an amazing artist. I could watch her speed paint all day long. Please check her out.

SOME STUFF I'M INTO THIS WEEK 1

Hiya!

It was pointed out to me earlier this week that my blog isn't blogy enough so I am going to try some new things. Please let me know what you think. I would really appreciate your feedbacks. 

This song just makes me feel all the feels, Thank you Nat King Cole. I never get tired of listening to your fabulous voice. 

Into the Water by Paula Hawkins. I am halfway through and I am loving it. 

Let's all use less plastic, ok?

I absolutely love Frannerd's illustrations. They are so cute and quirky. She is also a fellow cat lover. 

What a cool game! Monument Valley really challenges the way you think. The architecture is so beautiful as well. M. C. Escher would approve.
